The HIV 1.2 and p24 Combo Rapid Test (Finger Prick Blood) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of HIV type 1 (including Group O) antibody, type 2 antibody and type 1 p24 antigen in human finger prick blood specimen to aid in the diagnosis of HIV infection.
The HIV 1.2 and p24 Combo Rapid Test is a qualitative immunochromatographic assay for simultaneous detection of HIV antibodies (types 1 and 2) and the p24 antigen in finger prick blood. The test utilizes two distinct lines: the T1 line, coated with recombinant HIV-1 and HIV-2 antigens, detects antibodies; while the T2 line, coated with anti-p24 antibody, detects the p24 antigen indicative of recent infection. The appearance of one or two colored lines in the test zone signifies a positive result, with a control line validating proper procedure and sample flow.
